The Chairman of Strategy Internet Marketing, John Courtney has been a Company Director for over 20 years, including many years as Chairman or Managing Director in his own businesses which have ranged from sporting goods to agricultural chemicals. He has been a Non Executive Director for several SME’s.

John has trained at The Academy of Business Strategy, and is an associate of the Institute of Business Consulting, and a member of the Institute of Directors. He is also a visiting lecturer on the MBA course at Cranfield University School of Management and is also a Judge in The National Business Awards sponsored by Orange.

John has been in Internet Marketing since before Google even existed which, he says, makes him feel like 109 years old in Internet years! He invented the PAY ON RESULTS model that has proved the company’s main point of difference and has fuelled the growth of the business.

Kath Dawson joined Strategy in 2003 and has been instrumental in the growth of the company. Initially in a technical capacity (she is certified in Advanced Search Engine Optimisation) through being Client Services Director and most recently as Creative Director in charge of a very talented & productive team of creatives, writers and designers.

Kath developed her first commercial website in 1997, and over the years has become highly skilled and experienced in integrated online marketing techniques particularly creative content, outreach community development, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), conversion rate optimisation (CRO), usability and web analytics. Kath also offers SEO training and will happily help anyone who wants to understand what SEO is all about – in plain English!

She is active in the SEO community and regularly attends leading conferences (SMX, LinkLove, Mozcon) to ensure Strategy’s processes and procedures are at the cutting edge. Kath says “Being part of such a talented and motivated team is a real privilege. The content we are creating and the advantages this is giving clients is really exciting to see. Stephanie Iles

Sales Director

Stephanie’s talent is in Sales and Marketing Management. Her career spans almost 20 years and has been split between these two sectors, initially in Media and then in Freight Forwarding. Stephanie also spent 8 years assisting in the rebuilding of the largest Kuwaiti Newspaper’s Commercial Press, she then worked in southern California working in Video Production and then in Freight Forwarding.

Stephanie assists our clients by heightening their awareness of the various internet marketing and strategic tools that we work with to ensure that they have the optimum amount of options available to progress their business.

Ann Goodwin Chartered Marketer, FCIM, DipM

Associate Director

Ann began her long and varied marketing career with household names such as Fisons, RS Components and Bostik. Whilst working for the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, Ann developed and implemented a strategy to communicate the health and safety message both in the UK and overseas to various safety critical industries including construction, rail, oil and healthcare.

Her last position as an employee was as Marketing Director for Catalis Rail Training, an international supplier of training and development services to the rail industry, where Ann had responsibility to develop a management portfolio of services for the newly privatised industry. Clients included Railtrack, Virgin Trains, Amec, Balfour, Alstom and Kier.

Today, Ann advises on strategic marketing direction to meet clients’ business objectives. In addition, Ann overseas the implementation of marketing plans to ensure the various tactical aspects are adopted across the breadth of the marketing mix. Despite holding senior positions, Ann has never lost the ability to ‘roll up her sleeves’ and deliver cost-effective, practical solutions that work.

In recent years, she has supported clients at both a strategic and tactical level across a number of industries including Construction, NHS and Healthcare, Rail, FMCG, Leisure and IT.

As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Chartered Marketer, Ann has lectured for the professional CIM exams and delivered numerous training courses on marketing.

Outside of work, Ann is an avid follower and member of Leicester Tigers and England rugby supporters clubs.

Paul cut his teeth working client side for large Plc’s – where he set up and ran internal creative, marketing & advertising facilities – before moving to the dark side with Saatchi and Saatchi where he worked on a number of accounts as diverse as The National Lottery, Mars, Berkeley Homes and Scottish Widows.

In 2000 Paul was approached by Enterprise IG (now The Brand Union) to provide strategy and client services lead on some of their major accounts including Virgin, Barclays, Sony and Vodafone. In his time there he was responsible for the creation of the new Vodafone brand identity and implemented its roll out over 18 countries and soon it became the global brand guardian.

Paul brings a wealth of experience matched only by an insatiable passion for what he does and an unstoppable determination to get things done.

Donna Moore

Prior to joining Strategy, Donna worked for a publishing company where she developed and implemented the SEO strategy for a job board that was then purchased by the FT. She has worked in marketing for the FT, recruitment and non-executive products. Everything from job boards to post grad training and her marketing experience has covered B2B, B2C, international/global, niche and premium products, online, offline, DM, campaign planning, and hard to find audiences. Outside of work she uses these skills to help a couple of charities in the Bath area.

Donna manages the client services team at strategy and ensures that all of the essential activities take place. She helps to maintain and review client strategies and relationships and is liaison between client services, creative services and technical services.

Chris Fielden

Chris comes from a writing background. He started out as a freelance journalist, writing for newspapers and magazines and self-publishing novels. Through journalism, Chris started writing copy for websites before being offered a position with a Bristol based web-design firm as a copy writer / SEO consultant. There he learnt to combine his writing skills with on-page and off-page optimisation in a hands-on manner, working directly with clients from a variety of business backgrounds.

Chris now manages the creative team, working on many different creative projects for a wide variety of our clients and also oversees the day to day operations of the business.

Russell Gregory

Working in the industry for almost 5 years, Russell has headed up one of the largest reseller divisions known in the industry. He successfully executed extensive search marketing strategies on behalf of agencies whose clients included some of the largest sites on the internet.

Once a published and award-winning mixologist, Russell joined the team at Strategy in 2013 as Head of Partnerships where he will be managing the agency partnership side of the business, supplying like-minded agencies with high performing search marketing strategies and executing them in tune and on time.
