Kathryn Dawson is the head of our Technical Director; she is certified in Advanced Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and personally handles major client relationships.
Kath developed her first commercial website in 1997, and over the years has become highly skilled and experienced in Search Engine Marketing (SEM), particularly Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques and web analytics.
She constantly updates her SEO/SEM knowledge through various subscription memberships. She is a chat moderator offering regular business skills training at the World Resources Center, founded by Robin Nobles and John Alexander, and she is joint moderator of the very popular ‘Improve Search Engine Rankings Club’ on Ecademy.
Kath also offers SEO training and provides a free consultation to all prospects who want to understand what SEO is all about – in plain English, Kath will explain where your site is now and what we would recommend to get you where you want to be.

The Chairman of Strategy Internet Marketing, John Courtney has been a Company Director for over 20 years, including many years as Chairman or Managing Director in his own businesses which have ranged from sporting goods to agricultural chemicals. He has been a Non Executive Director for several SME’s.
John has trained at The Academy of Business Strategy, and is an associate of the Institute of Business Consulting, and a member of the Institute of Directors. He is also a visiting lecturer on the MBA course at Cranfield University School of Management and is also a Judge in The National Business Awards sponsored by Orange.
John has run training seminars at board level on corporate strategy and made presentations to both large and small groups on funding strategies. He brings a wealth of experience, particularly in corporate strategy, funding, business planning, internet strategy and marketing strategy including new product development.
John is an approachable, practical, down to earth consultant comfortable in the board room of plc’s as well as helping with implementation with smaller companies.

Stephanie’s talent is in Sales and Marketing Management. Her career spans almost 20 years and has been split between these two sectors, initially in Media and then in Freight Forwarding. Stephanie also spent 8 years assisting in the rebuilding of the largest Kuwaiti Newspaper’s Commercial Press, she then worked in southern California working in Video Production and then in Freight Forwarding.
Stephanie assists our clients by heightening their awareness of the various internet marketing and strategic tools that we work with to ensure that they have the optimum amount of options available to progress their business.

Ann began her long and varied marketing career with household names such as Fisons, RS Components and Bostik. Whilst working for the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, Ann developed and implemented a strategy to communicate the health and safety message both in the UK and overseas to various safety critical industries including construction, rail, oil and healthcare.
Her last position as an employee was as Marketing Director for Catalis Rail Training, an international supplier of training and development services to the rail industry, where Ann had responsibility to develop a management portfolio of services for the newly privatised industry. Clients included Railtrack, Virgin Trains, Amec, Balfour, Alstom and Kier.
Today, Ann advises on strategic marketing direction to meet clients’ business objectives. In addition, Ann overseas the implementation of marketing plans to ensure the various tactical aspects are adopted across the breadth of the marketing mix. Despite holding senior positions, Ann has never lost the ability to ‘roll up her sleeves’ and deliver cost-effective, practical solutions that work.
In recent years, she has supported clients at both a strategic and tactical level across a number of industries including Construction, NHS and Healthcare, Rail, FMCG, Leisure and IT.
As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Chartered Marketer, Ann has lectured for the professional CIM exams and delivered numerous training courses on marketing.
Outside of work, Ann is an avid follower and member of Leicester Tigers and England rugby supporters clubs.

Pete has been active in the search industry for nearly 8 years, and brings a heavily technical approach to SEO.
Coming from a programming background, Pete is highly skilled at diagnosing and fixing issues with website architecture, content management systems and internal linking.
In his many years in the industry as a consultant and in-house marketer, he’s accrued a vast amount of experience also in email, affiliate, PPC and viral/social marketing, as well as audience building and data analysis.
Pete’s also been known know to speak at various industry conferences, including SES and SMX, the leading global search conferences, as well as contributing to the bi-annual SEOmoz Search Engine Ranking Factors report.

Menno is one of the industry’s top PPC experts, and is a Google PPC / Analytics specialist and is GAP Certified. He specialises in increasing website profitability and conversion rates by identifying acute problem areas using Google Analytics, followed by landing page optimisation. Menno can setup and analyze your PPC campaigns and get the best ROI by researching the keywords used for the campaign and setup ROI tracking.
He is also an expert on Google’s Product Extensions is a feature of Google AdWords launched in 2010 that allows you to leverage your existing Google Merchant Centre feed to integrate your products directly in your search ads.

Chris has nearly ten years experience in search engine optimisation and conversion rate optimisation. He is also skilled in Web Standards based front-end development and is able to bring a wide range of skills to any project. He has worked in eCommerce web design and search engine optimisation, web marketing for luxury hotels and financial websites.

Claire worked as an Internet Assessor, consulting on projects for Google and major search engines – giving her unique insights into the processes and methodologies of ranking websites. Alongside this, she has an in-depth understanding of both SEO and PPC advertising as well as hands-on experience of managing e-commerce websites.
Claire comes to us with a wealth of traditional marketing experience, having worked for several years within the publishing industry. She has overseen specialist direct marketing campaigns for blue-chip clients and undertaken all aspects of the marketing mix from advertising and promotions to copywriting, press and PR. Claire naturally migrated to the world of digital media some years ago, becoming involved in web design and development.

Matt has a BSc in Computer Information. His background is in sales and marketing, primarily in the retail sector where he gained a deep understanding of consumer buyer behaviour. More recently Matt has been working as Digital Marketing Manager for a web development agency, managing clients’ SEO and online marketing campaigns. He has a particular bent for analytical activities and is happiest sat in front of a spreadsheet crunching data improving ROI for clients.

Chris comes from a writing background. He started out as a freelance journalist, writing for newspapers and magazines and self-publishing novels. Through journalism, Chris started writing copy for websites before being offered a position with a Bristol based web-design firm as a copy writer / SEO consultant. There he learnt to combine his writing skills with on-page and off-page optimisation in a hands-on manner, working directly with clients from a variety of business backgrounds.
Chris’s key skills are writing copy for web pages, keyword research and on-page optimisation. He works directly with clients to realise their specific goals and implement SEO strategies.

Claire has a background in marketing professional services including law and construction. She has been responsible for full website rebuilds and successful SEO projects whilst managing the full marketing plan. Her recent background extends to freelance journalism, writing for online and published magazines as well as writing copy for and helping to rebuild websites. Claire’s main role at Strategy is working directly with clients to ensure their goals are met and SEO strategies implemented.

Toni has a strong background in editorial publishing, having worked for 7 years within the newspaper industry. For the last 6 years Toni has focused within the online marketing sector; working as marketing manager for a web design company and for a major online directory.
Toni’s key skills are onsite optimisation, link building, social marketing strategies, blog strategies and usability testing. Toni works closely with the clients to ensure they reach their online business goals quickly and effectively.

David has worn plenty of hats in his career, particularly in the services delivery area. Having worked with clients ranging from micro-businesses to multinational corporates, this experience comes in quite handy as one of our Client Managers.
A passionate fan of marketing (offline and online), David enjoys taking the technical challenge that is web site optimisation and converting it into web site success for our clients.
In addition to focusing on keyword research, writing web page copy, producing reports, collaborating with web designers and in conference with clients, he’s also studying for qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Tony has had a fascination with computers since his early teens and decided to formalise his skills by studying for a BSc (Hons) in Information Technology and Computing with the Open University. In 2006 he graduated with First-class Honours.
His position with us has evolved over the years and he now plays a crucial role in contributing to reviewing, fixing and implementing all technical aspects of clients SEO, from optimisation and on-page content, to website issues and troubleshooting. Tony applies his expertise in multiple website CMS’ for each of our Client’s ensuring any hidden technical issues are found and resolved quickly. He’s never happier than when someone gives him a problem to solve.

Richard has joined us from an online retailer and is experienced in optimising processes and strategies using analytics data to improve conversion rates.
His main role at Strategy is on-page optimisation including keyword research, title creation, meta descriptions and on page text as well as Google Analytics.

Katie has a Marketing degree, specialising in Brand Management and Direct & Relationship Marketing. Katie’s experience since University has been within business development, creating sales and marketing strategies, and driving businesses forward.
Having worked on behalf of various companies within a variety of industry sectors, she has the knowledge and experience of different market trends and consumer buying behaviours. Whilst being results driven, Katie has also co-ordinated and implemented a variety of sales and marketing campaigns, to online and offline target audiences.

In 2006, Graham graduated with a first class honors in multimedia, gradually evolving his position with previous roles. Graham has joined us from an established school equipment supplier and holds a qualification in Google Analytics. He is experienced in using this data to monitor and optimise search engine traffic to improve visits and ultimately conversions.
His main role at Strategy is improving the SEO of various clients using several methods including keyword research, competitor analysis, copy writing, on-page optimisation and increasing the number of quality inbound links, monitoring the trends in web traffic using Google Analytics.

Beant has completed her Masters in Software Development and has been working in search engine marketing since 2008. Her experience in on and off page techniques, as well as web development, SEO, and social marketing has enabled her to carry out and co-ordinate a number of successful SEO projects. Beant’s role within Strategy Internet Marketing is looking after on and off page optimisation activities for a number of clients.

Elise is native French speaking with a good grasp of German. She has a Masters in Marketing, from the Etienne Business School , France.
Elise started her career working for publishing houses in Paris. She then entered into the online world where she worked as a project manager for Vente-privee.com, an online fashion website, where Elise managed a number of blue chip brands. Elise decided to add an international touch to her career and moved to Leeds, as a marketing assistant for a dance company. At the same time, she became a freelance French SEO content writer & coordinator for digital marketing agencies. Elise is now based at Strategy Internet Marketing as a full-time French SEO copywriter for the large international clients.

Thomas graduated in 2009 in Ancient History and Literature from the University of Reading. After university Thomas travelled the world for 6 months before coming back to manage on and off site SEO for a start-up business. During this time Thomas took the opportunity to develop skills in creative SEO through social media marketing and creative link building. Thomas also has experience in copy and blog writing, as well as Keyword research and Optimisation.

Ronald is a Computer Science graduate from the University of Bristol with an interest in Internet and mobile technologies, API programming and human-computer interaction. He has worked with a variety of modern programming languages and frameworks including PHP, Java, Qt and SQL.
At Strategy, Ronald works with Pete to develop in-house software tools for our Client Managers and Online Marketing Executives.

Ollie has had 5 years experience in internet marketing working with clients from the flight industry all the way to niche job boards. Ollie has also previously been a Qualified Google Adwords Professional while also having a NVQ level 2 in Team Leading.
Ollie is a jack of all trades having experience in programs such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash as well as knowledge in PHP, HTML and CSS.
Ollie is also a passionate Bristol City fan so expect to see him at Ashton Gate.

Alex joins us having had a year and a half of internet marketing experience on client side with various companies from within the travel niche, from leading suppliers of airport parking, to small town businesses offering holiday accommodation. During this time he developed skills in optimising websites, as well as learning how to use different pieces of software, such as Adobe Dreamweaver.
Away from the office, Alex plays football semi-professionally for Tiverton Town and has done so at this level since the age of 17.

Jimmy’s background was in quasi-professional poker and data entry, which helped him pay the bills through his MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University.
Thanks to the course he was able to gain experience in an editorial role that saw him sourcing contacts, engaging with social media and proof-reading for A.R.C. Anthology.
After a brief period of freelance copywriting, he applied for a job with Strategy Internet Marketing, where he is most strongly involved with the writing side of things, but looking to expand his understanding of the SEO industry.

Lia graduated in 2010 in Film and Cultural Studies. She gained experience in marketing while working for a major online Games company during her studies and helping with the organisation of various events including the annual Bath Film Festival. She has copywriting experience and has had Film reviews published online.
At Strategy, she works on link building strategies for a number of clients and specialises in German SEO, being a native German speaker. She also writes creative content and manages freelance writers.

Dan joins us with a Media Arts degree, equipping him with a varied range of practical skills from copywriting to green screen technology. Coming from a background in the extreme sport and events industries, Dan has written content that has been distributed internationally, and has helped achieve a wide array of marketing objectives.
At strategy internet marketing, Dan is further developing his understanding of online marketing practices, and bringing some practical skills into the creation of marketing content for a range of clients.

Susannah graduated from the University of Exeter with a first class honours degree in French literature. She speaks fluent French, having grown up in Belgium and completed her secondary school teacher degree after her undergraduate years. At Strategy, Susannah is a prolific writer and helps manage the guest blogging projects. She is also a support assistant for two of our client managers.

Louise graduated from Bath Spa University completing a foundation degree in Publishing, which allowed her to gain extensive knowledge in areas such as editing, graphic design, book and magazine publishing and marketing. From her degree she has gained experience through programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator.
Over the past couple of years Louise has gained work experience in the marketing industry working as a marketing executive for an online retailer and a software company.
She has also completed many freelance graphic design, editing and copywriting projects.
Having joined Strategy, Louise is developing key skills and gaining extensive knowledge in internet marketing. She currently works on link building strategies for a number of clients.

James is a student with the firm ambition of studying a Business Management degree. He produced a recent report which analysed the expansion of the internet, the effect this had on small E-Commerce businesses, and how this impacted upon the economy. From this report he gained a strong understanding of internet marketing which he has applied successfully during his time at Strategy Internet Marketing. As the Business Ambassador at his college James has developed a versatile skill set which allows him to work closely with client managers to help deliver results.

Paul’s experience is in the logistics and transport marketing and management. He has over 25 years which has included managing several sales teams, running a small business and spending time in Asia and Australasia on business projects as well as living and working in California for 10 years.
Paul brings with him to Strategy the large experience of managing sales pipelines, prospective clients and keeping the whole process moving forward.

Sarah’s experience in office management and office systems administration spans some 25 years. Sarah has worked for private enterprises, SME’s and large corporates, but has most recently been involved with systems set up and administration for young growing businesses. Sectors include the greetings card industry, design and marketing, estate agency, property development and import/export.

Gill is our experienced bookkeeper, who is qualified with the Institute of certified Bookkeepers. Having been with us for many years, Gill is a valuable member of the administration team. Gill deals with all our invoices, payments, cash flow, VAT and much more. She is extremely organised and efficient, and keeps the company’s finances ticking over smoothly.

Amalia graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2010 with a first class honours degree in English Literature. She has a strong background in administration and has experience in editorial and journalistic work, orchestrating fundraising activities for overseas projects and undertaking marketing/promotional work for bands, radio and magazines.
At Strategy Internet Marketing, Amalia is developing an understanding for both the consultancy and internet marketing business sectors, honing her writing skills for online website material and mastering the use of office-systems administrative software.
