Chris Fielden

Operations Director
Chris comes from a writing background. He started out as a freelance journalist, writing for newspapers and magazines and self-publishing novels. Through journalism, Chris started writing copy for websites before being offered a position with a Bristol based web-design firm as a copy writer / SEO consultant. There he learnt to combine his writing skills with on-page and off-page optimisation in a hands-on manner, working directly with clients from a variety of business backgrounds.
Chris now manages the creative team, working on many different creative projects for a wide variety of our clients and also oversees the day to day operations of the business.
Nick

Editorial Manager
Nick spent a decade working on commercial magazines at Future Publishing in Bath, starting out as a staff writer and swiftly ascending the editorial ladder. Gaining his first editorship in 2006 pretty much did for what was left of his hair, but you’ll often hear him trotting out the line ‘grass doesn’t grow on a busy street’.
He left Future in 2010 to pursue new adventures in the online world, managing a portfolio of editorial-focused websites, running training programmes for budding writers, and drinking far too much black coffee.
Nick heads up Strategy’s team of writers, and is responsible for raising and maintaining the company’s exacting editorial standards.
Graham

Creative Promotions Manager
At the age of 12 Graham read a book which was to set his path in life. It was called “My Turn to Make the Tea” by Monica Dickens – granddaughter of the great man – relating her hilarious adventures and high jinks as a cub reporter on a provincial weekly newspaper. Just seven years later Graham was himself working as a cub reporter in Windsor and quickly discovered the excitement of covering local news was interspersed with plenty of tea making for the senior journalists.
Thankfully, Graham soon graduated to the national press and the “Street of Shame” working as a journalist and executive on several national newspapers including The Sun, News of the World, Telegraph and Daily Mail – at one point his secretary was one Rebekah Brooks.
Later Graham published his own national magazines and websites which forced him to learn the even darker arts of public relations to win publicity for his own businesses. At Strategy, Graham’s skills and experience on both sides of the media fence are now invaluable in helping clients win exposure in both national and local media.
Dave

Creative Client Manager
Dave graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in Psychology. During his years at university he wrote regular freelance articles for numerous film and television websites. This led to a role as a copywriter/SEO specialist for a large company in Reading and then a project management role in the same company.
Over these last few years Dave has developed an extensive understanding of on-page and off-page SEO, copywriting and strategy techniques as well as building strong relationships with a range of clients.
Elise

Outreach Co-ordinator
Elise worked for publishing houses in Paris after a Masters degree in Marketing from St Etienne School of Management. She then entered the online world as a project manager and learnt about SEO through freelance work. At Strategy she manages the outreach team who implements creative campaigns for national and international clients using various social engagement strategies.
Jimmy MA

Outreach and Social Media Executive
After a period of using freelance copywriting and editorial work to pay the bills, Jimmy began his internship at Strategy Internet Marketing.
Starting off in writing, he moved on to specialise in technology, business and finance blog placement, social media and PR, culminating in a promotion to Junior Marketing Executive.
He is currently learning how to code and generally expanding his technical SEO skills.
Estelle

Outreach and Social Media Executive
Estelle graduated from the University of Southampton in 2011 with a degree in Management Sciences and French. Whilst there, she set up an e-commerce company and started learning to market it online, building up a big social media following and developing skills in SEO, PPC and more. She loved it so much that she also took on an 8-month marketing internship to gain extra experience.
After graduating she worked as a freelance marketing assistant for various services-based and e-commerce companies until she came to Strategy. Here, she is focusing on creative copywriting and learning new SEO techniques. When she’s not working or running her business she loves to scuba dive, paint and learn new languages.
Susannah

Academy Development Officer
From a very academic background and with experience ranging from teaching to creative media, Susannah joined Strategy as a creative writing intern and went on to progress to Junior Internet Marketing Executive. Susannah is also an active writer, is fluent in French and brings in the laughs at Strategy.
