David graduated from Bristol University in 2011, having studied Maths and Philosophy. This degree allowed him to tackle quantifiable problems in maths as well as gain an understanding of the more mysterious philosophical concepts. He became interested in marketing after working with Sheffield’s Tramlines Music Festival and has written a number of articles for the Bristol University journal.
At Strategy, David will be working predominantly with Google analytics as well as writing articles and undertaking general link building tasks.
James is a student with the firm ambition of studying a Business Management degree. He produced a recent report which analysed the expansion of the internet, the effect this had on small E-Commerce businesses, and how this impacted upon the economy. From this report he gained a strong understanding of internet marketing which he has applied successfully during his time at Strategy Internet Marketing. As the Business Ambassador at his college James has developed a versatile skill set which allows him to work closely with client managers to help deliver results.
Jamie graduated from Bath Spa University in 2007 with a BA (Hons) degree in Creative Studies in English. He never gave up his dream of being a writer and – betwixt an endless succession of soul-deadening call centre jobs – spent the next fifteen years getting published in newspapers, magazines, websites, local papers and poetry anthologies.
However, as the old adage goes, the best things come to those who wait, and Jamie is now living the dream as a creative writer and blogger for Strategy. In his spare time he likes reading, cinema, theatre, art galleries, writing poetry, music, playing the piano, and adding to his ever-expanding collection of film soundtracks (yes, he is a bit of a nerd).
Jenn graduated from UCA in 2010 after studying for a degree in journalism. Since graduating she has worked with Front, Dazed and Confused magazine and Radio Plymouth amongst other media groups and hopes to continue into a career in copywriting and online marketing.
She also comes from a mixed retail background which has helped in developing considerable client management and customer service skills. She enjoys writing on a broad range of subjects from environmental conservation to music and art. At strategy she will be developing her design and writing skills whilst continuing to be involved in innovative SEO processes.
Christie comes from an academic background in science and teaching. Her love of travel led her to Vietnam, where she spent the last few years teaching English, sharpening her knowledge of the language. Through a love of all things prose she found her way into creative writing and blogging, which she is excited to continue as a writing intern with Strategy. She hopes to get involved in all things creative as she learns more about internet marketing. Her interests extend to films, literature and cowering underneath the advancing wedding avalanche.
Shortly after graduating from Bath Spa University, with a BA (Hons) degree in English Literature & Creative Writing, Joe was able to enter a degree-related job straight away thanks to Strategy, which saved him from working in a retail nightmare. He has gained a lot of online journalism experience with American website The Bleacher Report, where he was assigned to writing stories about his beloved Arsenal. He is happiest when writing/talking about the latest films, music, and football stories.
At Strategy, his organisational skills are brought to the full and he has been further developing his craft in writing through pioneering SEO methods.
Angela graduated in 2009 from Bournemouth University with a BA (Hons) in Multi-Media Journalism. In the past, Angela worked as a columnist for her local newspaper, writing festival reviews and reporting on behalf of the young people of North Dorset.
At Strategy she is a creative writing and blogging intern, hoping to develop her skills in SEO and online marketing.
Louise graduated from Bath Spa University completing a foundation degree in Publishing, which allowed her to gain extensive knowledge in areas such as editing, graphic design, book and magazine publishing and marketing. From her degree she has gained experience through programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator.
Over the past couple of years Louise has gained work experience in the marketing industry working as a marketing executive for an online retailer and a software company.
She has also completed many freelance graphic design, editing and copywriting projects.
Having joined Strategy, Louise is developing key skills and gaining extensive knowledge in internet marketing. She currently works on link building strategies for a number of clients.
Nathan is a keen internet marketer with a particular interest in researching and securing high quality link building opportunities. With three years customer facing experience in retail outlets Nathan has well developed people skills and is able to find solutions to problems and handle difficult situations. After he finishes his studies in Psychology at University Nathan intends to develop a full time career in online marketing.
Sarah has a first class degree in Fashion (Journalism) from the University of the West of England. Specialising in lifestyle journalism, Sarah has written for national publications and websites, covering a wide variety of topics, from graffiti artists to ethical fashion. This background in journalism led her to the exciting world of social media and blogging, an area that she has worked in for the last three years.
Sarah is one of Strategy’s creative writers and is looking forward to developing her online marketing skills and satisfying her growing appetite for SEO.
Jessica Beale is Fine Art graduate with a passion for writing all things creative. Since graduating, she has worked as a freelance blogger and in arts marketing- promoting artistic, literary and scientific events. She brings professional writing experience and creative thinking to her role at Strategy.
She is very excited to learn more about internet marketing and to be joining Strategy Internet Marketing as a Creative Writing and Blogging Intern.
Maria is with Strategy as a placement student, having spent two years at Aston University studying a degree in International Relations & English Language, where she will return after her placement. Her experience in and love of teaching English led her to teach in India, and has further fuelled her desire to grow in these skills. Her passion for writing, and a variety of other creative hobbies such as photography and art led her to want to join Strategy for a year. Here she gets involved with blogging, creative campaigns, and stretching her skills in order to learn more about SEO and the marketing world.
Paul’s experience is in the logistics and transport marketing and management. He has over 25 years which has included managing several sales teams, running a small business and spending time in Asia and Australasia on business projects as well as living and working in California for 10 years.
Paul brings with him to Strategy the large experience of managing sales pipelines, prospective clients and keeping the whole process moving forward.
Cheryl is Office Manager at strategy and deals with major administrative duties as well as being PA support for the Directors. Cheryl brings a wealth of office management and administerial experience, having worked in a number of environments including recruitment and the security industry. Cheryl matches her motivated business approach with an active lifestyle that has seen her complete both the London and Paris marathons.

Claire worked as an Internet Assessor consulting on projects for Google and major search engines – giving her unique insights into the processes and methodologies of ranking websites. Alongside this, she has an in-depth understanding of both SEO and PPC advertising as well as hands-on experience of managing e-commerce websites.
Claire comes to us with a wealth of traditional marketing experience, having worked for several years within the publishing industry. She has overseen specialist direct marketing campaigns for blue-chip clients and undertaken all aspects of the marketing mix from advertising and promotions to copywriting, press and PR. Claire naturally migrated to the world of digital media some years ago, becoming involved in web design and development.
Gill is our experienced bookkeeper, who is qualified with the Institute of certified Bookkeepers. Having been with us for many years, Gill is a valuable member of the administration team. Gill deals with all our invoices, payments, cash flow, VAT and much more. She is extremely organised and efficient, and keeps the company’s finances ticking over smoothly.
